The Source Tapes!
I thought I'd try an ambitious undertaking: the listing of ALL recordings in the trove of VHS tapes I acquired over time (about 450 cassettes, beginning in summer 2014), bought from a seller named "Klecter" whose dad was a prolific taper in the mid-80's. Because of the shipping expense, he was considerate enough to sell them to me in lots of about fifty, each lot several months apart over a period of years, until spring of 2019. I still had a box to go when I stopped hearing from him, and sadly I later found his obituary.
As with most of my obsessive cross-referencing, I've created this list of the roughly 1300 movies (and other sundry/incidental recordings) mainly as a convenience for myself--but also for other collectors to look over, and for anyone searching for a particular film or special that's proving elusive. Hopefully this page will turn up in their search efforts.

If the recording isn't designated as "Z" (ads "zapped" during viewing) or "NC" (cable movie shown without commercials), that means the original commercials are included. The designation "TC" followed by a number means "trade compilation," a collection I've assembled that's generally two hours long. "CC" means "cable compilation," a more recent endeavor (begun August 2024) to collect all the little bits and pieces caught before and after a premium cable movie channel taping, "next" bumps, promos, etc.
NOTE: Some info is incomplete as I have not finished writing up full listings for all the compilations: I'm currently working on number 79 (out of 88) of the trade comps; and number 14 (out of 16) of the cable comps, with more cc's left to make.
